Visa USA Surprises Michigan Cardholders And DTE Energy Customers With Prize Package For NFL Road Game

Visa promotion offers NFL fans prizes for using Visa Card to pay DTE Energy bill on line

DETROIT, March 7, 2007 -- DTE Energy customer Brian Bunton of Livonia will get to live a football fan's dream later this year after winning an all-expense paid trip to any 2007 regular season game, just for using his Visa card to pay his utility bill.

Last fall, DTE Energy customers were automatically entered into the Visa at DTE Energy Most Secure Fans Sweepstakes each time they used their Visa card to pay their DTE Energy utility bill through the company's on-line eBill system. DTE Energy eBill is an online payment service that offers no-fee Visa card payments and added security by making payments directly through the company's Web site.

Bunton said he and his wife, Sue, are, "big football fans." But he said that's not why he paid his DTE Energy bill on line. "I was just doing it for the ease of not having to pay another bill by mail," he said.

The prize package for two includes game tickets, airfare, limousine service, a three-night hotel stay and a $500 Visa Gift card. Another 100 DTE Energy customers won $50 Visa Gift cards.

The Buntons' four children all were vying for the chance to take the road trip with their dad. "But my wife won out," he said. The Buntons are waiting for the 2007 NFL schedule to be finalized before selecting the game they will attend.

"The NFL drives fan passion and consumer loyalty in a way that no other American sports league can match," said Joyce Hayes-Giles, senior vice president, Customer Service, DTE Energy. "We are extremely excited to help Visa offer the Buntons this opportunity and to partner with Visa in celebrating the unpredictable nature of the NFL in a fun way that surprises and rewards our customers."
