DTE Energy Offers Workshop For Nonprofits
DETROIT, April 18 -- DTE Energy will host a workshop for executive directors, board members and facility directors of nonprofit organizations Wed., May 9, 2007, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the NextEnergy Center in Detroit. The workshop will include sessions on "green" building initiatives, energy efficiency, business strategies, and fundraising in tough economic times.
The keynote speaker will be Sandra Ambrozy, program director of the Kresge Foundation's Green Building Initiative, a program developed to raise nonprofits' awareness and implementation of sustainable building practices. Ambrozy's remarks will be followed by a presentation on energy efficiency improvements nonprofit organizations can make to better manage energy expenses.
Other speakers will include: Trevor Lauer, DTE Energy vice president of retail marketing; Len Charla, president of the Huguenot Management Company and co-author of The Better Bottom Line: Steps and Strategies to Improve Your Business, who will discuss the business side of nonprofit organizations; and Randall Rosebush, founder of RM Rosebush & Company, who will lead a session on fundraising. The luncheon will feature a panel discussion on best practices for nonprofit organizations.
