David Ruud named president of DTE Energy Services
DETROIT, February 12 - - David Ruud has been named president of DTE Energy Services, subsidiary of DTE Energy that develops, acquires, builds, owns and operates energy projects for industrial, commercial and institutional customers and power generation facilities. Ruud will oversee company operations in 15 states, ranging from power plants to on-site energy facilities such as coke batteries, powerhouses and pulverized coal injection operations. DTE Energy Services is headquartered in Ann Arbor, Mich.
"Dave's experience and skills will help guide DTE Energy Services through the next phase of its growth and value creation," said Chris Brown, executive vice president of DTE Energy Resources.
Previously, Ruud was DTE Energy's vice president of Enterprise Performance Management, overseeing the company's performance improvement efforts. Prior to joining DTE Energy, Ruud was a vice president and partner at L.E.K. Consulting, an international consulting firm specializing in strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and value creation. Earlier in his career Ruud was a program manager for Honeywell International and held leadership positions in business development at a southwestern energy company.
Ruud earned an MBA with distinction from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Arts in Aerospace Engineering from Penn State University.
